One visit, two standards
Why building and timber pests are booked together.
In short: How a combined building and pest inspection reads a property from roof to ground.
Building half, pest half
The building half follows AS 4349.1 and the timber pest half follows AS 4349.3. They overlap at moisture, drainage and ground levels.
Why together
One visit means one inspector sees both the defect and the pest risk it creates, such as a blocked weep hole beside a damp wall.
What each adds
The building side finds cracks, leaks and safety items. The pest side finds activity, damage and conducive conditions.
Seen on our jobs
Blocked weep holes, timber decks resting on soil and borer in older timber are typical entries.
